Katie is doing well, getting used to the compression garments, and gaining strength. Right now we are just waiting for her to get strong enough to be released so she can continue to heal at home. It is hard to say when that will be - sometime after they take the trach tube out. I will probably be writing less often from now on, only because besides getting a little stronger each day, there is not much specific to report. Rest assured, the lack of a post each day is not a sign that Katie has taken a turn for the worse. If something changes, I will certainly post - and I will post when we have a release date. Katie continues to do most of her therapy and dressing changes in the morning, so after 3pm is still the best time to visit. Thanks to all of you who have visited; I know it lifts Katie's spirits to laugh and enjoy time with her friends. read more
